This page provides information regarding our compliance with California’s privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) and the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA), as well as the California “Shine the Light” law.

At Worldtastic Travel, we are committed to transparency and respecting the privacy rights of all our users, especially California residents.

1. Our Commitment to California Residents

We are dedicated to providing California residents with the rights granted to them under California law concerning their personal information. While Worldtastic Travel operates primarily as an information resource and travel blog, and may not meet all the specific thresholds that mandate full CCPA/CPRA compliance (e.g., annual gross revenue over $25 million, or processing data of 100,000+ consumers/households/devices), we nonetheless strive to implement practices that align with the spirit of these comprehensive privacy regulations.

2. Your California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights concerning your personal information, subject to certain exceptions:

  • Right to Know: You have the right to request that we disclose to you the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the categories of sources from which personal information is collected, the business or commercial purpose for collecting, selling, or sharing personal information, and the categories of third parties to whom we disclose personal information.

    • Worldtastic Travel does not directly “sell” your personal information in the traditional sense for monetary compensation. However, as outlined in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, we use advertising services (like Google AdSense and Google Ads) and may engage with affiliate marketing programs. These services may utilize cookies and other tracking technologies that, in some cases, could be considered “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law.
    • To exercise your right to opt-out of such “sharing,” please refer to the “Opt-Out of Interest-Based Advertising” section in our Cookie Policy for instructions on how to manage your cookie preferences and opt-out through relevant industry tools.
  • Right to Limit Use and Disclosure of Sensitive Personal Information: You have the right to limit the use and disclosure of your sensitive personal information to that which is necessary to perform the services or provide the goods reasonably expected by an average consumer. Worldtastic Travel generally collects limited sensitive personal information. Any such collection and use would be as described in our Privacy Policy.
  • Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA/CPRA rights. This means we will not deny you goods or services, charge you different prices, or provide a different level or quality of goods or services because you exercised your rights.

3. Exercising Your California Privacy Rights

To exercise any of the rights described above, please submit a verifiable consumer request to us by:

We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling your request. This may involve matching information you provide in your request with personal information we already maintain about you.
